Question 1

What is Parlable?

Accepted Answer

Parlable is a conversational clarity service. You share what you're trying to say, the situation, and the stakes — and Parlable matches you with an agent who helps you think it through before the moment arrives.

Question 2

How does it work?

Accepted Answer

You describe what's going on — the situation, the relationship, the stakes. Parlable helps you get clearer on what matters and what you want to do next. Words, practice, Together, waiting, or stopping for now can all be valid next steps.

Question 3

How is Parlable different from ChatGPT?

Accepted Answer

ChatGPT is a general-purpose assistant and can be useful when you already know what you want help with. Parlable is designed for the earlier, messier part of a difficult conversation — understanding what's happening, what matters to you, and what you want to do next before choosing words, practice, Together, or another next step.

Question 4

How does Parlable know what I need?

Accepted Answer

Your agent reads what you share when you enter the app and adapts to meet you where you are emotionally. The more context you give, the more precisely they can help.

Question 5

What happens if I don't finish a conversation?

Accepted Answer

You can step away at any point. Unfinished conversations wait for you to return. When you finish, Parlable helps you choose what feels useful next — practice, bring someone in, revisit it later, or simply stop for now.

Question 6

Does Parlable remember my relationships?

Accepted Answer

Yes. As you use the service, Parlable can remember the people you talk about and the history you share. This can carry across conversations so you do not have to explain the background every time, and it can make Rehearsal more specific.

Question 7

What is Rehearsal?

Accepted Answer

Practice the conversation before you have it. Parlable draws on what you've shared about that person so the rehearsal feels specific to them. Your first practice with each person is free; a subscription includes continued Rehearsal access.

Question 8

What is the Debrief?

Accepted Answer

An optional check-in after the conversation. Talk through what happened, what changed, and what you want to do next.

Question 9

Does the other person need an account for Together mode?

Accepted Answer

No. When you start a Together session, the person you invite joins through a private link. They do not need their own account or subscription.

Question 10

Can the other person see my private space in Together mode?

Accepted Answer

No. In Together mode, your private refinement space is yours alone. What you type there is never visible to the other person.

Question 11

Are my messages stored?

Accepted Answer

Your conversation history is securely saved so Parlable can support history, continuity, and related features. Together has separate privacy rules for private refinement and shared messages; see the Privacy Policy for the current details.

Question 12

Why is there a conversation limit?

Accepted Answer

You receive three free Solo conversations and one free Together session to start. Each conversation is complete. There are no message caps or interruptions. A subscription gives you continued access after the free sessions.

Question 13

How does the subscription work?

Accepted Answer

After your free sessions, you can subscribe for $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year. This provides continued access to Parlable under the current plan rules. You can cancel anytime.

Question 14

Can I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can cancel anytime from your account page. Your access continues through the end of your current billing period.

Question 15

Is this therapy?

Accepted Answer

No. Parlable helps you think clearly before you communicate. It isn't a substitute for professional mental health care or emergency support.

Question 16

Why does my iPhone make a sound when I use the voice input feature?

Accepted Answer

That's iOS letting you know the microphone is active. It's an Apple privacy signal, not a Parlable sound, and it can't be turned off from within the app.
